Itinerary

Day 01 : Rishikesh to Joshimath

Meet in Rishikesh and drive to Joshimath.\nCheck into your hotel and prepare your trekking gear.

Day 02 : Joshimath to Dhak & Trek to Gulling Top

Drive to the trailhead at Dhak village.\nBegin the trek through local villages and agricultural terraced fields.\nHike up through oak forests to the Gulling Top campsite.

Day 03 : Gulling Top to Tali Forest Camp

A beautiful trek passing through streams and thick green forests.\nObserve the landscape transitioning as altitude increases.\nCamp at Tali, right at the tree line.

Day 04 : Tali via Kuari Pass to Khullara

The summit day. Trek across a narrow trail to reach the Kuari Pass.\nWitness mind-blowing views of 7000m+ Himalayan peaks.\nDescend and camp at the picturesque Khullara meadow.

Day 05 : Khullara to Dhak to Joshimath

Final descent through traditional mountain villages back to Dhak.\nTransfer back to Joshimath for a celebratory dinner.

Day 06 : Joshimath to Rishikesh

Drive back to Rishikesh, concluding your adventure.

Fitness Requirements

Moderate level. Good for fit beginners. Physical preparation involving daily 3-5 km jogs is recommended.

Preparation Tips:

  • Start jogging 3-4 kms a day at least a month before the trek.
  • Practice walking with a 5kg backpack.
  • Do squats and lunges to build thigh and calf muscle strength.
  • Practice yoga for better lung capacity (Pranayama).

  • Carry sufficient warm clothing and rain gear.
  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water during the trek.
  • Respect the local culture and religious sentiments at Hemkund Sahib.
  • Keep the trekking trails and campsites clean (Leave No Trace).

  • Do not pluck any flowers or disturb the flora in the valley.
  • Do not consume alcohol or smoke during the expedition.
  • Do not leave your group or trek alone without informing the guide.
  • Do not litter or leave plastic behind.
