Itinerary

Day 01 : Rishikesh to Joshimath

Pickup early from Rishikesh.\nScenic drive to Joshimath.\nCheck-in and evening rest at a hotel.

Day 02 : Joshimath to Auli to Gorson Bugyal

Take the famous cable car or drive up to Auli.\nBegin the gentle trek through beautiful oak and conifer forests.\nEmerge at the vast meadows of Gorson Bugyal.\nSet up camp and enjoy panoramic mountain views.

Day 03 : Explore Gorson and Tali

Wake up to a magnificent sunrise over Nanda Devi.\nTrek further towards Tali for better vantage points.\nReturn to Gorson campsite for the night.

Day 04 : Descend and Drive to Rishikesh

Trek back down to Auli.\nDrive straight back to Rishikesh.\nTrip concludes.

Fitness Requirements

An easy to moderate trek. Highly recommended as a first Himalayan trek for beginners, families, and young children.

Preparation Tips:

  • Start jogging 3-4 kms a day at least a month before the trek.
  • Practice walking with a 5kg backpack.
  • Do squats and lunges to build thigh and calf muscle strength.
  • Practice yoga for better lung capacity (Pranayama).

  • Carry sufficient warm clothing and rain gear.
  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water during the trek.
  • Respect the local culture and religious sentiments at Hemkund Sahib.
  • Keep the trekking trails and campsites clean (Leave No Trace).
